They passed Tarlang's Neck and came into Lamedon; and the Shadow Host pressed behind and fear went on before them, until they came to Calembel upon Ciril, and the sun went down like blood behind Pinnath Gelin away in the West behind them.

The Return of the King, LoTR Book 5, Ch 2, The Passing of the Grey Company

'[It] is, I reckoned, some 60 leagues 1 as birds fly from Erech, over Tarlang's Neck into Lamedon, and so, crossing Kiril 2 and Ringló, to Linhir beside the waters of Gilrain, where there are fords that lead into Lebennin.'

The War of the Ring, HoME Vol 8, Part 3, Ch 12, The Last Debate

'[We] came to Linhir above the mouth of Gilrain. And there men of Lamedon contested the fords with fell folk of Umbar and Harad who had sailed up the river.'

The Return of the King, LoTR Book 5, Ch 9, The Last Debate

And so the companies came and... passed through the Gate, men of the Outlands marching to defend the City of Gondor in a dark hour; but always too few.... From Lamedon, a few grim hillmen without a captain.

The Return of the King, LoTR Book 5, Ch 1, Minas Tirith
