Finduilas had the golden hair of the House of Finarfin. Before the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, she loved Gwindor, but when he returned from his captivity in Angband as ''one of the aged among mortal Men", her heart turned away from him against her will, and she fell in love with Túrin son of Húrin. It was not mutual, and he failed to rescue her after the fall of Nargothrond. (The Silmarillion, QS, Ch. 21 - Of Túrin Turambar).
