Beta Reading Articles
Beta Reading at HASA ~ by HASA Resources
One of the key reasons that members join HASA is to find a beta reader or to get other forms of feedback on their writing. However, there seems to be a lot of confusion about just what “beta reading” means and about how to find or become a beta reader. The purpose of this research article is to try and demystify the whole process and give you some tips about how to use the features at HASA to get the kind of support for your writing that you want.
This article was originally compiled by Tanaqui (HASA Welcome Manager at time of writing) and draws on many of her own experiences. She would like to acknowledge extensive help from Marta, Lyllyn, Tenshi, Cheryl, Avon, Gwynnyd, Lady Aranel, and other members of the HASA and HA communities who have contributed to debates about beta reading.
