Singer or character, either is fine. So long as it is a parody that includes him as a major character (or the singer), it's admissable.

 

Not entirely sure mine is wholly admissable (it takes some time getting to the point), but it sure is awful! I hope that helps.

Dwim- Are these stories supposed to be funny? I just realised I have a bit of a filk from a while ago about Legolas leaving Rivendell, but it's serious. I will tell you how I do it. I think of a song that might be filk worthy, and then I Google the lyrics. Once I find the lyrics, I copy and paste into a Word Document and then begin reworking/refitting the lines. Our HASA people/place/thing/event index is a grand resource, thanks to folks like you. Are these stories supposed to be funny? Hm. I've never heard of a parody that didn't have at least a bit of ironic distance, although *bitter* ironic distance is always a possibility. So I suppose it *need* not be funny, although in fact I was thinking personally in terms of the lighter side of irony.
