Oh yes. Maybe I'm obsessed. For some reason I feel there is a *space* for new views of the Dark ones... Not just Sauron; Maeglin, Morgoth, Nazguls, the whole lot of them. They all started out good, for example. And we know the Valar are married all exept Ulmo and Nienna.

Ohhh... this is very interesting. You know, this Mary Sue writing stuff is slightly addicting. It's a good thing the challenge closes early March- no way for me to get another fic out by then! Phew.

I do agree with you, however... the 'dark ones' should get Mary Sues. And Turin, too. I don't suppose anyone will take any of these on?

 

Already did, but it was a small bit in an obscure story. Gave Morgoth a wife. Well, *he* considered her a wife, anyway. She wasn't so happy with the idea...

 

One of my wierder stories was written for a fan friend who wanted her own personal Mary Sue paired with Maeglin. I'm not submitting the resulting tale for the challenge; it doesn't match it for several reasons - I just mention it to show that it's POSSIBLE.

 

I read one recently in which Sauron was the MS. He certainly was very much the submissive MS needing reassurance from his seme. I guess it doesn't count properly because he's a guy, but if Sauron was to be a male MS... for that matter, who would be Sauron's MS? Celebrimbor?

 

Ah this is delightful! Sauron's always asking for a Sue all to himself, and why wouldn't he? He likes challenges, I'm sure a headstrong Sue would be the Mother of ALL challenges to him (minus finding a rather small hobbit by the name of Baggins) I think one thing people fail to consider is that Sauron had to of had some dealings with the Easterlings and Southrons. Who's to say that in these alliances that some random daughters and wives weren't tossed to him for payment? Presently I am working to make a Easterling in such a situation, with hope that I will complete it before due time. There's a lot of ways the crazy fangirls haven't thought of yet to drive the poor overlooked Sauron mad, but of course, that might have something to do with that everyone thinks he's just a big eyeball... "It's not easy being me," said Sauron, sending his great eye to look upon Legolas. "I can't quite comprehend as of yet why that miserable blonde elf is being chased all over Arda Marred by these "Mary-Sues" (or in some cases Marty-Sues) I thought power was a turn on. All the girls say they like the dangerous type. Why will no one be my Sue?"
