Hi everybody -
the last "New Member Challenge 2004-5" ended early Summer of this year, and there has not yet been opened another challenge for new HASA members. We need prompts for the next year(s).

The challenge will consist of three prompts each from The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, and movieverse, so feel free to suggest prompts from any age. ("Silmarillion" will serve as a catch-all for any prompts that don't draw from TH or LotR, even if they draw on Unfinished Tales or some other source besides The Silmarillion.)

Challenge Title: New Members Challenge

This is a challenge for new members. By definition, a new member is any member who has been a member for fewer than four (4) months or who has written three (3) or fewer Tolkien fanfics at the time you enter the challenge or pick up your placeholder. There's no page limit for these, but it's usually nice if the prompt can be answered in a short piece. Of course, some writers may choose to write longer pieces.

Please submit your story ideas for stories from "The Hobbit," "The Lord of the Rings," "The Silmarillon" or movieverse.
