Going back to something that we talked about also in October, I've more or less reached the end of the Nuzgûl in the Hutch that inspire me (and they will eventually come to an end anyway ... ), and the consensus we seemed to have at the time was that volunteers would come up with each month's Nuzgûl.

Since I've left it a bit late for February, I can only offer recompense by coming up with the first Nuzgûl of the Month 'new style' myself. Since I'm also short on inspiration, I'm going with a Valentine-inspired theme: Courtship - any time, any place, any race...

Also, I'd like to know if anyone else is (still) interested in playing, so if you think you can come up with ideas later in the year, please let me know in this thread. Don't post any Nuzgûl yet!

I have finished my entry for this Nuzgûl- "Scone of Stone". I hope you enjoy it despite the fact it's a little fluffier than you might be used to from me!

 

Fluff goes with the month's theme, I fear (and I do apologise for inflicting it *g*) - poor Bilbo, though

"How old is your daughter now?" Arathorn asked Dírhael as he stuck out his hand to ruffle the little girl's hair, and she quickly stepped back, clinging to her father's legs.

"I'm nearly six," the child declared suddenly. "And don't mess up my hair!"

 "Gilraen!" her father said sternly. "Mind your manners."

"I get tangles! I hate it when people touch my hair!"

"Gilraen! Enough. Now go and tell your mother we have visitors."

Dírhael shook his head as Gilraen went off. "She can be a sweet child, but sometimes she has her mother's temper."

"And your stubbornness," Arathorn laughed.

 

Very cute- reminds me of a tale my dad told me about how my grandparents met...

 

I'm right in the thinking I don't post my March Nuzgûl until the first of the month, right?

 

Or mail me a few days before so I can announce it along with the end of February Challenges News.
