Forum: Characters of Middle-earth and Aman

Discussing: Feanor

Feanor, as I've seen him, has always been portrayed as evil, crazed, short-tempered, and a bad father. I think because people are so quick to label him as these things, we lose sight of how much depth he has. Am I alone in thinking that maybe he's not just the Silmaril-making, kinslaying, and willful elf he's usually seen as. What do you think?

Re: Feanor

If you want a rational, thoughtful, kind Feanor who's a good father, read Cirdan's Paradise Lost. And check out her posts on the toic - just today, actually - at Silmfics.
