Story Summary
The First-Born upon Middle Earth are little more than a fading memory; for nearly all of their kindred have sailed from the western shores, leaving Arda into the care of the race of Men. A few, however, still remain: the scions of Elrond and the Lord of fading Lórien still haunt the known world's periphery- protecting that which was once theirs. When the sons of Elrond Peredhil come upon a human babe left to perish in the wilds, they rescue it from its fate and foster it in the home of their father. This is the story of that resulting unconventional household.
