Pirate's Life's for M-e, A: The Corsairs of Umbar

Challenge Details

Write a story featuring Middle-earth's most famous pirates: the Corsairs of Umbar.

There are a number of time periods available:

*Castamir and his followers
*The sacking of Umbar (Thorongil)
*The routing of the Corsairs from Pelargir (Aragorn, again, with the Dead)

Those are just the mentioned incidents. They had well over a millenium to be active, and likely survived into the Fourth Age. Denethor, Imrahil, any of the Kings of Gondor (after the Kinstrife) would likely have had to deal with them, and of course there are all those opportunities to focus on original characters here.

So put on your best eye-patch and get ready to buckle some landlubbing swash: write us a story about the pirates of Middle-earth!

Challenge runs for six months.
