Morgul-blades and lesser wraiths
Challenge Details
In "Flight to the Ford," Fellowship of the Ring, Strider takes a look at the knife-handle that stabbed Frodo and immediately knows what it is and what it does. So also do Glorfindel, Gandalf, and Elrond.
Clearly, Frodo's not the first person to be stabbed with a Morgul knife, although he was probably one of few to survive it with his form intact.
So who were some of those unfortunate others from whom Elrond et al would've learned what a Morgul blade does? Write the tale of one of those other victims. What happened? Where did the new and weakened (Morgul knife victims become wraiths but weaker, capable of being dominated by the Ringwraiths themselves) wraith go? What was its place in Sauron's army of darkness (tm)?
